Our Failures Are God’s Instruments for Good

1. 하나님이 아브람을 부르시고 언약을 맺으시는 장면이 구속사적으로 왜 중요한지 복습해봅시다. Let’s review why God’s calling of Abram and making a covenant with him is so important in the history of redemption.
2. 하나님은 아브람을 어떤 방식으로 인도해 가시고 훈련시키셨습니까? 나의 지나온 삶에서 하나님이 어떻게 인도하시고 나를 훈련시켜 오셨는지 생각해 봅시다. How did God lead and train Abram? Looking back at your own life, how has God guided and shaped you?
3. 아브람은 애굽에서 경험했던 실패를 통해 훗날 죄악의 땅 소돔과 고모라를 선택하지 않는 믿음을 가질 수 있었습니다. 나의 죄와 실패조차도 훗날 합력하여 선을 이루게 된 경험이 있다면 나눠봅시다. Abram’s failure in Egypt actually helped him build the faith to pass on the wicked lands of Sodom and Gomorrah later on. Have you ever seen God turn your own mistakes or failures into something good?
4. ‘네 눈에 보이는 땅을 너에게 영원히 주리라’는 하나님의 약속 앞에서 아브람은 땅을 구하지 않고, 여호와를 위해 제단을 쌓았습니다. 내 인생에서 무엇을 가장 갈망하며 얻기를 힘쓰고 있습니까? Even when God promised, “I’ll give you all the land you see forever,” Abram didn’t chase after the land—he built an altar to the Lord instead. What is it that you desire and strive for the most in your life right now?
